When I look at Acts 18, I keep seeing the people of faith in the trenches… Men and women coming into the dangerous places of ministry to support, bear with, and spread the message of Jesus on the front lines. Today we are going to look at... THE CHURCH IN THE TRENCHES

I love this verse. But in the past I inserted different words and read it without context. I would read the verse to say… If YOU are in Christ, then YOU are a new creation… Great - that’s what I wanted. Thanks, God. But if we are being good students of His Word we need to go deeper. My understanding of this verse could be incomplete at best and wrong at worst.

Regardless of what anyone says, or any news story, or anything else that happens in the rest of human history, nothing will ever top this…

In life we are always in two states. We are Relying and we are Representing. We are doing both at the same time (simultaneously) with various levels of maturity.

One of the criteria in cold cereal is the Brand Promise. Did the reality of the cereal prove what they claimed? Love for our family is the proof of being His. It is the conduct that proves the claim.

Some people think that Ruth is a love story or a case study of womanhood and manhood. I will challenge that misses the big point. If you are a follower of Jesus, this little story is an indispensable part of you being in the faith.
